Griff Carver, Hallway Patrol by Jim Krieg

Have you ever wondered who keeps the halls of your school safe? Who patrols those halls on a regular basis, rooting out corruption, troublemakers, and all sorts of untold evil just so you can move freely from class to class, blissfully unaware of the dark side lurking around every corner? If you guessed teachers, the principal or even the custodian, you’d be wrong! It’s the safety patrol. A thankless job, but someone’s got to do it.

Griff Carver is that someone at Rampart Jr. High. After being expelled from his last school for going too far in the name of the law, he is eager to continue his law enforcement career at his new school. A school that seems “perfect” on the surface, that is until Griff receives his badge and uncovers a crime ring so strong and far reaching it almost pushes him over the edge.

This book is sure to keep you laughing as Griff and his camp scout sidekick, Tommy, work together to rid their school of crime and clear their good names. Will Griff be able to continue his legend? Or will this be the end, as he is expelled from yet another school?

Welcome!

Greetings!

Welcome to "Zone 114: The Next Chapter"! As a sixth grader teacher, I am constantly on the look out for great reads for my students which usually means I'm also reading a wonderful book that I can't wait to share. Now that summer is finally here, I thought it would be the perfect time to start a "book blog" in order to continue not only sharing books I'm excited about, but giving others the opportunity to make comments and share interesting titles. I will try to update regularly so please check back often. Can't wait to get started!Mrs. S :)
